چکیده

Introduction and Aim: We examined the effect of pre- and/or post-infection doxycycline on human nasal epithelial cell viability SARS-CoV-2 (clinical strain IHUMI-3) replication in vitro. Materials Methods: Human cells, an vivo target, were derived from healthy donor stem/progenitor cells via vitro differentiation. The exposed to at 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 ?M before after IHUMI-3 inoculation determine optimal inhibitory concentration. Viral was evaluated using quantitative reverse-transcription PCR, 50% cytotoxic concentration (CC50) half-maximal effective (EC50) calculated. peak serum (Cmax) resulting typical oral (100 or 200 mg) intravenous doses estimated, Cmax/EC50 ratio calculated as index potential clinical utility. Results: Doxycycline exhibited low cytotoxicity (CC50 > ?M) inhibited (EC50: 5.2 ± 3.3 a dose-dependent manner when administered post-infection. Reasonable will help achieve concentrations vivo. Conclusion: Early administration this well-characterized, safe, accessible drug may limit person-to-person transmission prevent progression severe coronavirus disease.

Evaluation of immunomodulators, interferons and known in vitro SARS-coV inhibitors for inhibition of SARS-coV replication in BALB/c mice.

Compounds approved for therapeutic use and in vitro inhibitors of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) were evaluated for inhibition in the mouse SARS-CoV replication model. A hybrid interferon, interferon alpha (IFN-alpha) B/D, and a mismatched double-stranded (ds) RNA interferon (IFN) inducer, Ampligen (poly I:poly C124), were the only compounds that potently inhibited vir...
